"The curios paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

- Carl Rodgers

Carl Rogers was an American psychologist and one of the founders of Humanistic, Person-Centred theory, he believed that in order to change we must first accept ourselves just as we are!

A first step towards change

The foundation of my work is in Person Centred therapy, this means you lead where our sessions go, and I work with what you bring to each session. Once we have worked together for a small number of sessions, building the therapeutic relationship, we may begin to use a combination of different approaches and techniques, there in creating a bespoke therapeutic experience, suited to your individual needs, supporting your journey of discovery towards, growing self-awareness and your authentic self.

Individual support for your challenges

SERVICES & SPECIALISMS

I help you to cope with stressful situations, strengthen your resources and regain your emotional well-being. Below you will find an overview of my services and areas of special interest.

Together we will find the path that suits you.

IN-PERSON THERAPY

You are welcomed into my therapeutic room, a safe, warm and confidential space, where you are seen and heard with compassion and without judgement.

ONLINE THERAPY

Offering a confidential and convenient service, that you can access from the comfort of your own home or office. While still receiving the same level of  support.

WALKING THERAPY

Accessing therapeutic support in nature allows for a more relaxed and natural element to the work we do together, whilst also offering the compassionate, safe and boundaried experience you'd receive working in a therapeutic room.

HOLISTIC THERAPY

I support your journey of discovery and growth as a whole, through talking therapy interspersed with elements of breathwork, meditation and orientation, offering you the skills to ground and stay connected with yourself in real life situations.

TRAUMA INFORMED THERAPY

This therapeutic approach recognises the impact that trauma has on you as an individual, and how it can affect your mental and emotional wellbeing and the subsequent affect this can have on your behaviours. Working together to create a safe and supportive environment for your healing, avoiding re-traumatization, by emphasising a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on principles of safety, trust, choice and empowerment.

POLYVAGAL  THEORY

This therapeutic approach recognises the science behind how our body works and how even a perceived lack of safety can hijack our nervous system and the effects this has on our body and mind over time. This approach supports recovery from low vagal tone and its subsequent effects, such as increased stress reactivity, impaired recovery from stress, greater susceptibility to anxiety, depression, internal inflammation, and heart rate variability and it's potential impacts on cardiovascular health and immune function.

NEURODIVERSE-INFORMED THERAPY

This way of working recognises that both those with neurodiversity and their families face many challenges on life's journey. Having supported and worked with neurodiversity for over twenty years, I am able to offer insights and understanding around a range of related topics.
